As part of the World Economic Forum’s global network of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) Centres, SACIT is strategically positioned to place South Africa at the forefront of global innovation and industrial transformation.


## The South Africa Centre for Industry and Technology (SACIT) is a national, transdisciplinary platform hosted at the University of Pretoria.

Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of technology that improves lives – by building a future-ready workforce, strengthening sustainable and inclusive industries and contributing to sustainable development across Africa.


## Through multistakeholder collaboration, capacity building and transformative thought leadership, SACIT is working to drive sustainable and inclusive transformation across industries. Our partners include Walter Sisulu University, the University of the Witwatersrand, University of Cape Town,  as well as government departments and research excellence institutions including the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and the Department of Science, Technology andInnovation. SACIT is part of the BRICS Manufacturing Working Group, strengthening collaboration on industrial transformation and inclusive growth.
